Heading on Vacation This Summer? Here Are My Fave Black-Owned Brands for Swimsuits, Outfits & Jewelry

Summer travel season is here, and you know I’m answering with a passport in one hand and a carry-on full of looks in the other. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, hopping island to island, or catching golden hour in a new city, your vacation wardrobe should match the vibes.

If you’re like me and love mixing elevated resort wear from Black-owned brands, this list is for you. These are four of my favorite Black-owned fashion and accessory brands that always make it into my vacation suitcase and they might just become your go-to, too.

Riot Swim – For Sleek, Sculpting Swimwear

Minimalist, flattering, and confidence-boosting — Riot Swim is that girl when it comes to swimwear. Designed by Monti Landers, their pieces are all about sleek silhouettes and buttery-soft fabrics that hug just right. Whether you want to go bold in a rich color or keep it neutral and chic, Riot makes swimwear that feels luxe and lets your body shine.

My fave piece: The Blaise One Piece (pictured above) — it’s a showstopper and I wear it every time I head to the Caribbean

Klo Apparel – Effortless Comfort for Travel Days

Klo Apparel is my go-to for comfy, cute pieces — especially when I’m heading to the airport or exploring a new destination. The styles are simple, stretchy, and easy to wear, but still give that “I put effort into this” look. Whether I’m catching a flight or grabbing breakfast before a beach day, Klo keeps me comfortable without sacrificing style.

Perfect for: Airport fits, road trips, or lounging in something cute after a long travel day.

Andrea Iyamah – Elevated Resort wear with Edge

Every vacation wardrobe deserves at least one show-out moment. Enter Andrea Iyamah. Known for jaw-dropping silhouettes and rich, saturated colors, this Nigerian-owned brand is where art meets fashion. Think structured swimsuits, dramatic cover-ups, and dresses that deserve their own photoshoot.

My go-to: Her high-waisted bikinis and signature cutouts give just the right amount of drama.

Vinticouture – Statement Jewelry with a Story

I discovered Vinticouture a few years ago and now I never travel without at least one of her pieces. Handmade and dripping in personality, her jewelry elevates any outfit — from a white linen dress to a spicy dinner look. It’s bold, feminine, and unapologetically expressive.

Pro tip: Pack one or two pieces to switch up your entire vacation vibe with zero extra luggage weight.

I definitely recommend you should make space in your suitcase (and your style mood board) for Black-owned brands that bring the heat, heart, and heritage. These four are just a few of my faves, and whether you're team “carry-on only” or “check a bag for the looks,” they deserve a spot.

Let me know which ones you’re trying or if you have a fave I should check out next!
