How I Match Clients to the Right Caribbean Destination

Most people think choosing a Caribbean trip starts with picking an island.
It usually starts with understanding how you want to travel.
Before I recommend a destination, I pay attention to a few key preferences:
nonstop flights vs. layovers
all-inclusive vs. boutique stays
level of ease vs. flexibility
whether it’s a couples trip, group trip, or celebration
These details don’t replace the destination — they help narrow it down.
Most people are really choosing between a few good options
In reality, it’s rarely about finding one “perfect” island.
It’s usually about narrowing down two or three great options and figuring out which one fits your travel style best.
That’s where a lot of confusion comes in when people try to plan on their own.
They’re comparing destinations without first filtering for how they actually want to travel.
Why the experience can still feel completely different
Two islands can look similar on paper, but the experience shifts based on how you arrive, where you stay, and what kind of trip you’re trying to have.
One might feel better for a relaxed, stay-put resort trip.
Another might be better if you want to explore, dine out, and move around more.
It’s not about one being better... it’s about fit.
My role as a travel advisor
My job is to narrow the options, then help clients choose the destination that actually aligns with how they want to experience the trip.
Not just what looks appealing online, but what will actually feel right once they’re there.
Because the goal isn’t just picking an island.
It’s making sure the trip fits the way you like to travel.
