Exploring Grenada: Waterfalls, Chocolate & More in 5 Stops

Updated: Oct 17, 2025

Grenada, A.K.A. the "Spice Isle" of the Caribbean, is a paradise filled with lush rainforests, stunning waterfalls, and a rich cultural heritage. I've been to Grenada twice- once for my 35th birthday trip and once last year for a work trip. Whether you're an adventure seeker or someone who loves to soak in the beauty of nature, this island has something for everyone. Here are five must-do activities when visiting Grenada:

  1. Snorkel Among the Underwater Sculptures

The Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park is a world-renowned attraction and a must-visit for snorkeling or diving enthusiasts. This underwater gallery features hauntingly beautiful sculptures that have become a thriving marine habitat. A catamaran tour to this spot is the perfect way to explore Grenada’s vibrant underwater world. And when is a catamaran tour ever a bad idea?

  2. Experience the Flavors of Belmont Estate

For a taste of Grenada’s rich history and flavors, head to Belmont Estate, a 300-year-old working plantation. Here, you can learn about the island’s famous chocolate-making process, stroll through cocoa fields, and indulge in fresh, organic chocolate. It’s an experience that perfectly combines history, culture, and delicious treats that you can purchase and take home with you.

  3. Chase Waterfalls at Concord Waterfalls

Tucked away in the rainforest, Concord Waterfalls is a series of three cascading falls surrounded by lush greenery. The first waterfall is easily accessible, making it perfect for a refreshing swim. For the more adventurous, a hike to the upper falls rewards you with even more breathtaking views and a secluded experience.

  4. Explore Grand Etang National Park

No trip to Grenada is complete without a visit to Grand Etang National Park. Home to the stunning Grand Etang Lake, this protected rainforest is teeming with wildlife, including mona monkeys. Whether you’re hiking one of the many trails or simply taking in the serene beauty of the area, this is a nature lover’s dream.

  5. Step Back in Time at an Old Rum Distillery

Grenada is famous for its rum, and visiting a historic distillery like River Antoine Estate is an experience unlike any other. Established in the 1700s, it’s the oldest functioning water-powered distillery in the Caribbean. You’ll see firsthand how traditional rum is made and even get to sample some of the island’s strongest blends. Yes this my face trying the rum. Sample at your own risk!

Ready to Explore Grenada? Whether you're seeking adventure, culture, or simply breathtaking scenery, Grenada offers it all. From waterfalls and national parks to rum and chocolate, this island is full of unforgettable experiences. When you're ready to plan your trip, reach out to me and let’s make it extraordinary!
